Publié le 31-10-2009
Dear young fellow financiers,

The next eFinancialCareers Investment Challenge, sponsored by RWE, is about to begin. Register now.

Students from any UK or Continental European university or business school can register online at www.efinancialcareers.com/rwechallenge from 31 October 2009 for the chance to test their market skills against their fellow students – the Investment Challenge is open for trading from 9 November 2009 to 9 December 2009.

From 9 November 2009, each student trader will have up to one month to use their own €10,000,000 fantasy fund to trade on the NYSE and major European exchanges, including the London, Milan, Frankfurt, Madrid and Euronext (equities only) Exchanges. Participants must make a minimum of 15 trades during the competition but not more than 250.

Participation is free and prizes will be awarded to the top students who are currently studying at a European university or business school. The first place student will receive an Apple iPod Nano and those students in the remaining top ten places will receive an Amazon gift voucher worth €50.

John Benson, founder and CEO of eFinancialCareers.com, said:
“Opportunities such as the Investment Challenge are excellent ways for students considering careers in banking and finance to gain practical skills and experience. In the current climate, students should take full advantage of every opportunity they can, as graduates with the most relevant experiences are more likely to stand out when it comes to applying for positions.”

Michaela Wuthcke, Advisor Talent Management and Training at RWE, added:
“The Investment Challenge gives market savvy students the opportunity to fine-tune their existing trading skills, while novice players can gain valuable knowledge and experience of the financial markets. We look forward to rewarding the best player.”

Registration for the RWE Supply & Trading Investment Challenge opens 31 October 2009 and closes 28 November 2009. The Investment Challenge begins at 1500 (GMT) on 9 November 2009 and closes at 1700 (GMT) on 9 December 2009.
